Karen Sander - Barn Manager
Karen Sander is the Barn Manager for Heavenly Horses and takes a holistic approach to the health of the horses including using essential oils and chiropractic care. Karen has been riding for over 25 years, and has experience showing and teaching a variety of disciplines from Hunter Jumper and eventing to cattle work and drill team. She has spent the last 15 years teaching, training, and caring for horses and her students and horses have done well at local shows as well as championships. Karen is also active in the horse community as a carded open horse show judge and as a volunteer with the Mounted Rangers and with local 4-H.
Hi, my name is Ella! I’ve been riding at Heavenly Horses since 2020 and started volunteering as soon as I could. Riding and working here is so much fun. I’ve learned so much and I will ride any discipline. As long as I’m on a horse, I’m happy! My favorite horse is Dallas who amazes me and I love his goofy personality. Some of my favorite memories here have been helping new riders as well as seeing them find their love of horses. This place is like a second home to me and the people and horses are like a second family.

My name is Danna. I’ve been riding at Heavenly Horses since 2017. After several years of watching my son ride, I couldn’t just sit on the sidelines anymore! I generally ride Western but have tried to learn some English as well. I can’t say that I have a favorite horse, because I love them all! I also love working with all the kids who come here, whether for regular lessons or for our summer camps.
Hi, I’m Carley! I have been riding with Heavenly Horses for over 10 years. I will ride any discipline from jumping to western pleasure. As long as I’m on a horse, I’m happy! My favorite horse is Jesse. He’s such a sweet boy but he does have a mischievous side that you’ve just got to love. I also spend a lot of time with Vinnie. The horses and people here have become an extension of my family and I don’t know what I would do without them. Working with horses and kids has taught me some of life’s most valuable lessons, and it has definitely kept me laughing. There is never a dull moment here!
Hey, my name is Abigail. I’ve been riding at Heavenly Horses since 2012. After taking lessons for 2 years I started volunteering. I will ride any discipline. As long as I’m with the horses, I’m happy. My favorite part about working here is seeing how much of an impact the horses have on our students. I love being a part of helping people learn about horses. Working at Heavenly Horses has taught me so much. All of the staff and horses are like a second family to me.

Hi, my name is Logan! I’ve been riding at Heavenly Horses since 2021. I will ride any discipline. My favorite horse is Dallas. He is so sweet and very fun to ride. I love working here, getting to see all the horses, and watching the students grow. The Heavenly Horses community has become such a big part of my life!
